Electronic Data Processing Capabilities
  • Hardware: Our hardware has been upgraded to an IBM Pick System Model MB601 with multiprocessors and mirrored disk drives. We have 96 ports. The IBM has a robust Unix operating system for the commercial environment. This configuration will insure little (if any) down time and the additional speed, memory and storage will provide a superior product for our continued growth.

  • Data: We are capable of receiving data in any format from manual data entry from white paper copies mailed to us to receiving an encrypted file via email to be uploaded electronically. PRS can send your data back to you in any format required using any method required. We are taking full advantage of electronic data management and movement.

  • Data Security: Professional Recovery Systems, Inc is HIPAA compliant in data management and data storage. PRS uses the industry standards in data security. Data files are password protected, PGP Encrypted, Zipped with password protection, uploaded into our FTP site by using a secured login and password, just to mention a few.
Skip-tracing Capabilities
All accounts assigned to our agency are matched against a national database that includes directory assistance, National Change of Address file of the U.S. Post Office, similar names, neighbors and financial demographics.

PRS provides skip tracing tools at the collectors fingertips. In addition to enhancing the file within the first 24 hours of assignment, other tools are used regularly. Some of the vendors include Lexis-Nexis, Merlin, Skiptrace Info, ID Data and Dolan.

We are on-line with Experian, Trans Union and Equifax, the three major credit reporting companies serving the United States. We obtain an abbreviated credit report on all accounts assigned for collection. With our client's permission, we list all accounts assigned after sixty (60) days that are still unpaid with the three National Credit Reporting companies. This sixty (60) day time can be modified based upon our client's requirements. PRS provides databases on CD ROM of:

  • Consumer Affairs Professional License Master File
  • California Board of Equalization
On-Line Bankruptcy Verification
All accounts are screened through an on-line database to determine if a bankruptcy has been filed. The database is updated daily. The reason we take advantage of this technology is two-fold:
  1. To concentrate our collection efforts on collectible accounts, and
  2. Most importantly to protect our client and ourselves from violating the automatic stay order issued through bankruptcy.
